As the weeks’ progress, businesses around the globe are facing more challenges with the latest Coronavirus outbreak, COVID-19, and we are all finding ourselves in uncertain and life-changing times. First and foremost, we need to ensure that we are abiding and following Government guidelines to reduce the risk and spread of infection to protect the NHS and save the lives of thousands.
I-SCAFF are as committed as ever to ensure that our team and the public are as safe as possible which is why we are no longer taking on any new projects and have stopped work on all sites with immediate effect. However, we also have a duty of care to ensure that during this time, all of our open sites are routinely inspected, and all safety measures are in place. As professional scaffolding contractors across Scotland and North England, I-SCAFF are making it a priority to inspect all of our sites on a 7-day basis to conform to Government guidelines and of course, be sure that during closure all structures are safe and stable for when lockdown ends and we return to work as normal.
For over 30 years we have been proud to be responsible and strategic whilst ensuring we maintain an exemplary reputation and standards that exceed industry levels. During these uncertain times, we will continue to value and strive to achieve these standards. We urge that all of our fellow professional scaffolding companies follow and likewise continue to abide by Government guidelines whilst inspecting and safeguarding all sites on a regular basis.
As difficult as it may be, we need to work together to beat this virus and continue to put the safety of our employees and clients foremost. We strongly recommend those who work within the scaffolding and construction field to read over SIMAN’s insightful article on scaffold inspection requirements during the UK lockdown.
